Warp
Warp is a modern terminal that added an agent. You can ask it to run a sequence of commands or change code without leaving the shell. There is a free plan and paid plans. Confirm the current price on warp.dev.
7.3
Preliminary
Editorial score out of 10. Not a benchmark.
What we tried
Used the terminal agent to explain a failing command and then edit a script. It is a terminal first, an IDE second.
Scores are preliminary editorial notes from a short hands-on pass. They are not benchmark results, not pass rates, and not for sale. A shared task suite is not published yet, so we do not print speed, cost, or success-rate figures.
Preliminary notes
- Setup8/10
- Editing7/10
- Agent work7/10
- Docs and control7/10
Good fit
- People who live in the terminal
- Command-heavy tasks, deploys, and short code edits
Limits
- Not a full editor replacement when you want a file tree and inline diffs
- Agent requests draw from a plan allowance
